Before Gregor Erler started his directing studies in 2005 at Germany`s most acclaimed filmschool, the Filmakademie
Baden-Württemberg in Ludwigsburg, he already had worked as a 1st AD and unit manager for various production companies and TV
stations, won several awards for his work as a director, writer, editor and DP and had two short stories published.
During his directing studies at the film academy as a feature-film director student Gregor shot several short films which went on to win numerous awards all over the world, published another short story and was awarded with the prestigious UCLA Masterclass Scholarship and the Karl-Steinbuch-Scholarship for "outstanding creative and innovative achievement". Over the last years Gregor's films have been screened at more than 80 festivals and won over 40 awards.
Gregor Erler lives in Berlin, Germany.
